Milan, Italy — August 9, 2025 — Filipino folk artist Elito V. Circa, internationally known as Amangpintor, conducted the Spirit Art through Indigenouism Art Workshop in Milan, organized by the Philippine Consulate General in Milan through their staff in coordination with the Association of Novo Ecijanos in Milan, represented by Zenaida Serna. The workshop highlighted Amangpintor’s advocacy of using Indigenouism Art to promote environmental awareness, mental wellness, and Filipino cultural pride among the community abroad. Participants engaged in hands-on art activities that combined creativity with cultural identity, reflecting the artist’s mission to unite Filipinos while preserving heritage.
During the event, Amangpintor received a Certificate of Recognition from the Philippine Consulate General in Milan, presented by Consul General Jim Tito San Agustin, in appreciation of his efforts to advance Filipino art and culture overseas. His accommodation was generously sponsored by Tristan Huerta and his wife, supporting the success of the Milan activities. Discussions with the Consulate also explored future projects, including a painting exhibit, performances at major events such as Philippine Independence Day, and a series of Indigenouism Art workshops, further strengthening cultural engagement and the Filipino community in Italy.
